Outlook rules wizard not functioning

Joe

I have a machine with Outlook 2000 connected to a Win2K3 SBS running Exchange
I set a rule so that every e-mail that comes to (e-mail address removed) is to forward a
copy to (e-mail address removed) I restart Outlook and the rule does not run for incoming mail.
If I go to the rules wizard and say "run rule on inbox now" it works like a champ.
Any thoughts or reasoning for this? Thanks

Yep, this is a nightmare for me as well. Someone please help. I have a rule which is meant to forward and email to someone and then move itto a folder. it moves it to the folder automatically but unless i manually run the the rule it doesn't forward the email.

hi,
same problem for me.

exchange 2003 sp1 / outlook 2003. the redirection rule runned perfectly
before i install SP1 for exchange.

Is this a clue ?

I also install the filtering mode for exchange, to prevent spam intrusion.
Is there a clue too ?

The sample code at http://www.slipstick.com/dev/code/autobcc.txt shows how
to add a Bcc recipient using the Application.ItemSend event.

Another approach, which would avoid security prompts without the need to use
Redemption, would be to create a custom form with the desired address in the
Bcc field, publish it to the Personal Forms library, and then modify the
registry to substitute the published custom form for the default. (See
http://www.slipstick.com/dev/newdefaultform.htm#sub)
