outlook rules

Doug

I just moved my outlook 2007 to a new computer.
From backups I have the pst file and the files that allow completion on
email addresses, etc.
In fact, I had everything except my email account info and the rules which
shuttle various emails into various folders.
Luckily, I had the email account info stored in another application.
Where are the rules stored?
Thanks,
Doug

Diane, when email is placed in my inbox and should have been shuttled to
another folder, at best I will see an error message saying that the move
cannot be made...? Thanks, Doug

Go to tools, rules and alerts and repoint the rules. They're linked to the
path of the pst, profile name, and computer when they were created.

Wow. That sounds like a silly design element. :)
But thanks for the info.
