I work for a large financial bank in NYC as a IT Tech
I have one user in our Legal Department who has over 100 personal folders
connected in Outlook - During the day Outlook starts to freeze up and crashes
on him. At times I see the memory usage for Outlook (in task manager reach
about 72,000k-80,000k when it crashes)
I upgraded the users workstation to 2 GB and also increased his virtual
memory.
Processor speed - 2.7
Please let me know if there is anything I could do to improve the users
performance. Does outlook have a limited amount of resources it could provide
(increasing the memory doesn't seem like it helped out)
The user has at the most 3-4 other applications open - (Acrobat Reader,
Word, Internet Explorer, and maybe PowerPoint) when outlook crashes - no
issues with any other app
