Hi all, my issue pertains to Outlook 2000. When I open
an Outlook item, save it as a .MSG file (say 1.MSG),
and then repeat the save to another file name (say 2.MSG)
the 2 files are NOT identical. The differences are not
visible to the user who compares 1.MSG and 2.MSG with the
Outlook UI, but a comparison of the files at the byte level
yields several variances.
What makes the files different? Is there any documentation
on the .MSG format which might enable me to understand,
predict, and redact the variable portions of the message?
Thanks for your time.
