Outlook scanpst.exe

When trying to start Outlook I get a message of an error and to run
"scanpst.exe". I found info to run this from the folder "Microsoft Office
12". The file is not in there, I've done a search on the computer and it
can't be found. I have a 3 month old computer running on Vista with
microsoft office small bisiness 2007 preloaded from the builder of the
computer ( large company rymes with bell). Do I need to reinstall the
software (I have a disc) or can I download this file? Any help is
appreciated.

Do a search instead for scanpst.exe. Click on the Advanced button and
include hidden files/folders in your search.

Once located, you can simply double-click it and follow the instructions.
Make sure Outlook is closed.
