I accidentally deleted a .pst file with my old emails-- didn't care, starting
a new job, etc., so decided to start over.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook 2007 (I am running on XP) and now
Outlook opens, looks for this missing .pst file, and closes again. It does
ask me for the password for the missing .pst file, then the error I get is:
Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook Window. The set of
folders cannot be opened. The file C:\Documents and Settings\Tom B\Local
Settings\Application\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst is not a personal folders
file.
I can either somehow use a .pst file from another computer which I could
put in the folder outlook is looking in, but I only use Oultook to back up my
Blackberry, so I am fine with just atarting over with no old emails.
Any ideas what to do to make the program work?
