We have some users who are using outlook 2003 and when they use the regular
FIND tool, it does not bring up the most current emails until the very end of
the search. For example, I may have 3 emails in my inbox that pertain to a
search I am doing, but they will not show up in my list results until the
search in complete. On most users, when they run a search, the newest emails
will show up at the top of the list at the beginning, especially if they are
in their inbox and not in a subfolder. It always seems to start at the same
date as well. So if I ran a search for a word today, the first results that
show up will be about 2 weeks ago. Then when the search is complete, it will
show everything recent. At first I thought it was related to the size of the
person's mailbox..maybe the FIND function does a 'divide and conquer' sort of
search, but then when I ran it on an inbox that had substantially more
emails, it ran fine. The users do not have any filters turned on and they are
sorting by the received column.
