Outlook Security Labels API

R

Rob Purchase

I would like to develop an Outlook Policy Module in order to enable S/MIME v3
security labelling of emails (targetting Outlook 2007). However there appears
to be very little information available on this subject.

The article "Creating Security Label Policy Modules"
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa140148.aspx) refers to several
interfaces provided by the "Outlook 2000 Federal Release Security Labels
API", but this API appears to have no available documentation. In fact a web
search for "ISMimePolicy" or "ISMimePolicyLabelInfo" turns up no results
apart from the above article.

Where can I find further information relating to this API?

Many thanks,

Rob.

Hello Rob,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MSDN Newsgroup, this is Ji Zhou [MSFT] and
I will be working on this issue with you.

Currently based on my research, the link you post is the unique article in
the official document describes the topic "Create Outlook Security Label
Policy Module". I did not find other resources related to that. Of course,
I am still doing some more research on this and I have also consulted this
in the internal discussion alias to see if any others can share some
experience on that API. I will let you know as soon as I find anything new.

Have a nice day!

Best regards,

Hello Rob,

A couple of years ago the product team wrote a sample to augment the only
one document on this topic. One of my colleagues has released it publicly
yesterday,

Hope it helps!
