Outlook seems to want to constantly synchronize folders.

For some reason, Outlook is always synchronizing my folders. I have no idea
why it does this, or how to limit it. I don't have a palm pilot or anything
like that. I do use Remote Desktop Connection from home, but that's not
connected, so I don't know what it's trying to synchronize WITH. Some days
- like today - it does it every 5 minutes, it seems, and other days hardly at
all. When it does, it pretty much locks everything up for a couple of
minutes. Help!

Hi Lisa,

It sounds like you have the send/recieve interval set to 5 minutes. To
change that from within Outlook, click on Tools, then click on the Mail Setup
tab. Click on the Send/Recieve tab. You should see "Setting for group "All
Accounts" ". There is an option for Schedling an automatic send/recieve for
a certain amount of time. It is probably set for 5 minutes. Change it to
how ever long you want, or click that option off and it won't do automatic
send/recieves at all.

Hope it helps

I do have the interval set for every five minutes, but that doesn't explain
why some days it synchs like crazy and others it doesn. The answer is...
Tools, e-mail accounts, view or change existing, change, and uncheck the box
Use Cached Exchange Mode. Haven't had a problem since.
