Outlook Send/ Recceive problem

Have a laptop with vista os and have been using outlook 2007 for a while.
When I tried to use it away from home network was able to receive emails
using outlook but would not send. Upon return to home network, the problem
persists. Receive an error msg that the program cannot connect with the
server. Have tried to reset all email settings but will not work.

Any suggestions?

Did you change any firewall settings while you were out of home? I know
OneCare asks which type of location you're at when it detects you're in a
new location.
