Outlook Sending a non existent message when

Recently when Outlook 2003 (on XP Pro SP) goes through a send/receive, it
acts as if sending an email when no email exixts to be sent. I have cleared
out my email accounts on servers, but still works for 2-3 minutes sending a
non existent email. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I followed the instructions and indeed there is a read receipt problem. When
using the tool you provided, I receive the following message when attempting
this step:

Click on IMsgStore::Abort Submit. Click OK, close the window. Now choose
Delete.

"Error message is: MAPI E unable to abort"

What would be the next step?
