Outlook sending multiple copies of the same message

Recently, some of our email recipients have complained that they are
receiving as many as 10-20 copies of the same email message being sent from
users in our office. The problem started shortly after we upgraded some of
our computers to Outlook 2003. We are using a pop3/SMTP server.

I've also noticed that when the message is sent, that it sits in the Outbox
for several minutes. I have scanned for viruses and malware, but have found
nothing. I also set the antivirus to scan incoming traffic only.

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated, as it is becomming a
huge problem.

I am having the same problem with Outlook Express (driving me nuts!).
It only seems to happen when sending very large attachments though.

I have also posted my problem, but I was wondering if either of us gets a
reply maybe we could let the other know and perhaps help each other that way?

Then ask in an Outlook Express newsgroup like
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general

It only seems to happen when sending very large attachments though.

Are you scanning mail with an antivirus scanner? Don't. Also try
increasing your server timeout value.

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, I've been unable to access the forum.
Unfortunately, I still haven't resolved the issue and I haven't received any
help through this forum, but I'll be happy to let you know if I find a
