We use Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2002 (XP).
The shortcuts to public folders which we have added onto the Outlook
Shortcut Bar show a number in brackets, but this number is wrong. ie if there
is 2 unread items in the 'Forms' public folder, the shortcut shows 'Forms
(4)'.
This problem had occurred once before, and I found that if I re-created the
public folders (a long and time consuming process), then the shortcuts showed
the correct quantity. Last night our power went off, and after the UPS ran
out, the Exchange server lost power. Today, the shortcuts all show an
incorrect quantity again. I am assuming that something was corrupted when the
power went off.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this, or does anyone know if there is a
setting somewhere that just needs to be reset, etc?
Thanks - Wayne
