I'm using Outlook 2003. I received an email that looked like fraud, using
PayPal look and feel. I was suspicious and wanted to forward it to PayPal to
let them know about it and to question whether it was legitimate. When I
clicked "forward" a window popped up saying that pictures that had been
blocked by Outlook would be downloaded. This would put me at risk for
"beacons", as described in your help files. I cancelled that action and opted
to copy and paste the page into a new message instead. When I pasted the
material into the new message, the previously-blocked pictures at that point
suddenly downloaded without my permission. I wanted to notify PayPal about
this possibly fraudulent message but couldn't do it without putting my
computer at risk.
