Outlook should allow phone numbers without bracketing or grouped .

In 2003 when u enter a telephone number without an area code the number is
presented without a break, ie an 8 digit number entered in a 4 - 4 format is
automatically reformatted to 8 numbers, which is hard on the eye and less
easy to comprehend. If you enter the 8 digit number as 4 - 4, then it is
automatically formatted as leading 4 bracketed (area coded) then the
remaining 4 digits. In 2000 it was possible to edit this problem after intial
entry, but so far I find this is no longer possible.
For example, I now have to view Singapore numbers as: +65 122345678, whereas
I wish to view such numbers as +65 1234 5678. It is inappropriate to display
the number as +65 (1234) 5678 as Singapore does not use area codes in the
same way that larger States do given that its a City State.
