Outlook should be able to group tasks via "in folder"

I separate my tasks via having different task files. It will allow you to
filter using the "in folder" variable, which essentially allows you to see
only one file. If I could choose to see all files and then group by the task
file name (perhaps by using that same "in folder" variable) it would be great.

As a side note, it also appears that I can not sort the task in the to-do
bar via a custom field that I created.

Seems like you are referring to Outlook 2007.
What exactly do you mean with different task files? Do you have
different PST files, different folders within one PST?
