Outlook should have easier options to insert signatures manually.

1) You used to be able to select Insert from the taskbar, and then Signature
to choose from your selected signatures.

You can currently set a signature as a default, and then right-click to
change it once it's there, but you can't (2) start without a signature, and
right-click in the body of your e-mail to insert one.

Either or both of these options would be welcome.

Your wish has been granted. Outlook 2007 will support both the Insert | Signature method and the right-click method to swap one existing signature for another.

Yes you can start with no signature. Just set up a bunch of sigs and set the
default to NONE. Then just choose the one you want from the Insert sig list.
I use signatures for boilerplate text all the time. You can write an entire
email in a signature so you don't need to retype the same email.
