I too have been working on adding contact's family information
especially children, and when known, children's birthdates. I hav
been through the process of creating new fields, usually while i
Contacts/Card view.
It seems to be a very inconsistent process. Some of the dates do sho
up in the Calendar, but I don't know how or why. Of two children i
the same family, one's birthday shows up, yet the other does not.
It also does not seem to be possible to change date formats in a field
Rather you must create a new field and replace the old field, whic
also means re-entering the data for each individual.
So where does one go to learn the best way to deal with this aspect o
Outlook. Before I enter a lot of dates, I want to be sure I've set i
up right. Is there a good source for this information?

You could customize the form and add those fields. It won't ad
them
to the calendar automatically, tho.
