The advantage of having multiple calendars in Outlook 2003 is that you can
keep your business and personal events separate. However, it is frequently
the case that you need to see them side by side to be able to do effective
scheduling. Unfortunately, you cannot set the 'default' calendar view to be
the side-by-side display of two calendars. Instead, you initially only see
the single calendar, and must remember to click on the second calendar in
order to display the two side by side. One tends to forget to do this, and
may, as a consequence forget any appointments placed in the second calendar.
This problem virtually negates the benefits of keeping two separate
calendars. Allowing the user to configure the default Calendar view would
rectify this problem.
