Outlook should not sort the liste of children in alpha order

I like to save the firstnames of children of my contacts when they are born,
and Outlook automatically changes the order of the list to alphabetical
order, so that I cannot remember their order.

Outlook provides many different ways to present your contact information. I
suspect alphabetical order is what most users want.

But you can control the sort view here:
View-->Current View-->Customize Current View-->Sort

You can even customize a view to sort by birthday.

Add their ages to the front of their names, padded with zeroes (01, 02,
etc). That way the list will be sorted by age lowest to highest

Thanks for your answer but I'm afraid you didn't get my point : my concern is
not the order between contacts but the order between firstnames in the
children field of a contact.

Good idea ! or rather with the birth year, that's more stable !

But I still can't see why Outlook should sort !
