Outlook, is just showing the status icon as replied / forwarded even though i
didn't really sent the reply..

1. I just replied for a mail and deleted before sending the same.
2. But, my mail icon status shows as replied ..??

Thanks...

At which point do you think that icon should be shown? When you click Send?
It might not actually send at that point, so adding the icon the would also
be misleading. When it appears in the Outbox? It hasn't actually been sent
then, either. When it enters the Sent Items folder? Some people don't keep
copies of sent items. What would you suggest?

I would be nice to display icon when it really delivers the particular mail,
rather than outbox, sent items folders etc..

Even though i don;t have copies in the sent items the icon can say a status
as replied / forwarded. It may give me some info like i already
replied/forwarded.
Thanks,

And what delivery point would that be? When the message is accepted by your
mail server? When the message is accepted by the router your server talks
to? When the message reaches the recipient's mail server? what about all
the routers that may exist between your mail server and your receipient's?
And what about time frame? Each router between you and your recipient is
allowed to keep the message from up to three to five days before forwarding
it on to the next hop in the chain.
