When traveling with my laptop, I nearly always sync up before leaving (at
high speed), but then, when connected over a slow link, Outlook still
downloads large messages or attachments rather than verifying and using the
locally cached copy.
This is a wasteful and annoying behavior. Would it take much work to have
the software simply verify that the local copy is up-to-date and then use it?
The current work-around (which is to disconnect from the network to access
the file) is available, but awkward.
