I had an old IMAP account, which I canceled and now can no longer access the
messages. It had a couple of unread messages when I changed IMAP accounts.
I have a new IMAP account with another couple of unread messages. I changed
some forwarded messages that were in the inbox to "mark as read" and moved
them into a folder.
At the XP log in page, under this user name (my husband actually) it shows
13 unread messages. I've looked all over in Outlook trying to figure out how
to delete stuff or change something to make this a more accurate count. I've
restarted Outlook, restarted the computer and still have this false message
at log-in.
I want to fix the false message, and if possible access the old IMAP account
and fiddle with it.
Using Windows XP, all up to date, Outlook 2003 (Office 2003) also recently
updated.
