Outlook shuts down for no reason...

I have Outlook 2002 running on Windows 2000 Pro... both fully updated with
the latest patches from Microsoft. I have been experiencing a wierd problem
over the last few days. It seems that my Outlook has been randomly shuting
down during use. Then, when I go to re-open my Outlook, I get the "Outlook
did not shut down properly" and I get the task window with progress bar
showing a restore of my Personal Folders. This probably happens two or
three times a day.

Does anyone know why this might be happening? I would appreciate any
suggestions.

What do you mean by "seems"? Either it shuts down or it doesn't. Please
say exactly what happens.

The sentence was actually "It seems that my Outlook has been randomly
shuting
down during use" with the focus being on the word random. I am not sure
sure if the "shutting down" is being triggered by any single event or task
or if it is in deed "randomly" shutting down.

Feel free to offer any constructive advise if you have any.

When you say Outlook "shuts down", what do you mean? Does it simply vanish
fro your screen? Does it tell you it needs to shut down? Does it generate
an automatic error report for sending to Microsoft? What are you doing when
it shuts down? Reading a message? Moving items between folders? Composing
a message? All of the above? None of the above? Is there anything in the
Event log when it quits?
