Outlook shuts down

I am using Vista Home Premium and Office 2007. Periodically my Outlook stops
working and then restarts. Is there anything that will fix this. It happens
when I'm working on something else, such as Word, not Outlook. Also is there
any way to make Outlook start up with the computer instead of having to open
each time.

You simply create a shortcut to outlook.exe in the Start Up folder - not
that I'd reccommend it (for outlook), after all how much hassle is it to
launch OL once vista is fully loaded with your other startups

If OL closes on an err you would usually get a msg asking if you want to
report this to MS, there is an option to show the data, this would give
details of the err encountered.
In the mean time have you run Office Diagnostics?
Did you upgrade from an earlier version of Outllook?
