Outlook shuts Word down

When Outlook is running and I open a document in Wors at the same time, when
I save or just close that document, Word itself shuts down and has to be
re-opened to view another document.

If I have 2 docs open it remains open.

I use Wors as my e-mail editor ,but so what ?> Can't I use both Word and
Outlook together all the time ?

If you close a single word doc, then word will close, thats std behaviour
Having two docs open & closing one leaves word running - thats std

If you are using word as your email editor then you can still open word if
outlook is running
