outlook slows down after I synchronise

Help. When I sync Outlook with my windows mobile phone it starts to slow down
and over time gets slower and slower. It is almost like there is a delay of
a few seconds between the time I click or press a key on the keyboard and the
time it registers on the computer. I am only syncing contacts and calendar.
If I delete the files I have synced, outlook runs fast again. It seems like
there is a corruption somewhere but I do not know how to locate the corrupted
file. I am using Microsoft Active Sync 4.2 and Microsoft Outlook 2003

Have you tried running scanpst.exe against your .pst file? How big is the file?
