Outlook Social Connector - No providers listed

C

cptcrackers

Using Outlook 2010 beta, OSC February Beta (properly installed by first
removing the old component).

After getting the osc feb beta installed, the Sharepoint connector vanishes
from the list of providers under VIEW:pEOPLE PANE:ACCOUNT SETTINGS. Istalled
both the Linkedin and Myspace provders to see how they work, and neither of
those shows up either.

Any help would be nice.

Thanks.

32bit outlook? How many profiles? It only works with 1 profile. if its
associated with the wrong profile browse to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\ and select the profile key you want to use the
social connector with. Locate ddb0922fc50b8d42be5a821ede840761 Value:
000b0400 and change it to Data: 00 10

I don't have key named ddb0922fc50b8d42be5a821ede840761 under any of the
outlook profiles (and yes I have a dozen or so since I have one for each
remote exchange organization I manage). The only profile I've used since
installing it though is the main one I use every day.

OK, I manually created the registry key then added that value stated.
Outlook added more to the key on the first opening and then it worked.
