Outlook speed

I've been using Outlook for ages OK.
Suddenly it's got very slow to respond, and takes much
longer to become available - typically 30 second.
I regularly archive stuff if that makes any difference.
I've not knowingly changed any settings.
Any ideas would be most welcome.
