Outlook Standard 2003 trial version - installing Pro

Donna

I have an expired version of Office Standard (expired yesterday). I have
purchased Office Professional.

I want to save my Outlook files to use when I install my purchased
Professional version. (I have been instructed to uninstall the trial version
before installing the Professional version.) The "Import/Export" option is
not available on my trial version and the 'archive' option does not seem to
work either. I have asked it to archive and then do not find the file where
it is supposed to be saved.

Is there some way to retrieve and use the archived info should I be able to
find it or is there another option for saving and retrieving the information.

You need neither of those features. See if this helps:

Brian,

Thank you.... I have copied the backup file. This site was WONDERFUL! I'll
be back in touch if I have problems once I've installed the new Office Pro.

Thanks, again!

Donna, how did you do what you did???? I'm having the same problem. My trial
version ended and I have Office XP Professional. I have no idea how NOT to
lose all my emails and contacts from the trial version. HELP!!!! I want to
save my 2003 Outlook info, remove Outlook 2003 Trial and install my XP Pro.

The problem with that is that Outlook 2003's PST format cannot be read by
Outlook 2002. You need to create an Outlook 2002-format PST in OL 2003 and
moving all your data to it prior to uninstalling OL 2003 and reinstalling OL
2002. If your trial has expired, you can try setting back the clock of your
PC long enough to do the job or try downloading and installing another trial
copy.
