Outlook start up

I purchased my think pad 1 year ago and outlook 98 was
included as well as word and excel. Today I am unable
to use outlook. The message I get is OLE rejection error

I find it hard to believe IBM supplied, a year ago, OL98, as it has long
since been updated by some 4/5 new versions
