Outlook starts and tries to send messages not now in outbox

Each time my outlook starts it tries to send several messages that are not in
my outbox. I suspect they are from old email accounts that I no longer have
access to but can not find them to delete. Would like to do away with them
without removing the old email account since I still get some mail there but
can not send?
