I have Outlook 2000 connecting to an Exchange Server.
When users login to a workstation that they have not logged onto before,
they have to fill in the info for the Exchange Server and Username etc.
I am wondering if there is a way to specify the default exchange server to
"mail" and to use the username they are logged in as and not have to see the
wizard?
I have downloaded the Office 2000 Resource Tools and found that you could
possibly use the Custom Configuration Wizard to build and install package
that specifies this. do you use a variable for Username? or if you leave it
blank, does it automatically fill in with your name?
I am also unsure of how the Profile Wizard works. You run the profile
wizard and it saves your profile. Can you then load the profile onto the
"Default Profile" and not the profile you are logged in as?
Lastly, is there a way to automatically configure these Outlook Profiles
without having to reinstall Office with the new install package? I have
tried looking in the OUTLK9.ADM group policy template. It only has an
option to turn profile prompt on or off from what I can tell.
Thanks,
Kevin
