Outlook stopped receiving my email and I get an error message.

It stopped receiving emails. I can send them, but when it's receiving, it
takes a long time, and then I get an error message.
This is the message I get:

Task 'mail.adelphia.net - Receiving' reported error (0x8004210A) : 'The
operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP) server.
If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'
