Outlook Stops Sending/Receiving

Hi everyone, I have not seen a post the deals with this so
I hope someone can help me.

My stand alone CW Outlook stops sending and receiving
emails after about an hour of being open. Everything else
works, Internet, IM, etc but to receive emails I have to
log off and back on to the PC.

If anyone has experienced this and knows how to deal with
it I would be very grateful.
