outlook stops working

for the last two weeks, my outlook 2007 will intermittently stop working.
usually after i first start it and try to look at a message but sometimes
after it has been in background for some period of time. I get an alert box
that says "outlook has stopped working. Microsoft is searching for a
solution '' . Sometimes i get 'outlook will restart' . All of the diagnostic
runs do not show a problem.
I am using outlook 2007 with outlook connector to support two email accts,
as well as calendar and contacts which are synched with my AT&T tiltphone
running 'mcrosoft mobile 6.0'. Any ideas?

I had same problem with 2007 (using Exchange Views). In desperation I saved
my Archived items to a Memory Stick thern deleted the file from my Hard Drive.

I then went through and deleted old completed tasks.
This reduced my Pst file from 69MB to 57Mb . The problem did not occur
after this.
To be truthful I don't know if this was a cure or pure coincidence. I have
my PC set to update MS Office automatically.
