Outlook suddenly not showing Calendar appointsments or NOTES

A user suddenly can not see his appointments or Notes.

The Appointments still cause the month view to show bold
ofr those days that have an appointment, but the day is
empty as though the appointments don't exist.

Also, if I pick a time that I know I have an appointment
for - but that isn't showing up on the Day, I get an
indication that this appointment conflicts with an
existing appointment.

How can I get the appointments to show up again?

The user was messing around with his IPAQ and synching
things, etc, and that may have marked the appointsments
somehow????? Anyway, the actual appointment entries exist
on the Exchange Server, so I think this must be related to
Outlook.
