I originally posted this in the Groove section, but was getting no response
and now realize it probably should go here

Hi,
A little background: I have Groove 3.1 and Outllook 2003. I run a very
small company (3 people), my wife and I work out of our house and the other
person works out of his. We all just started using Outlook to coordinate our
schedules, etc. My wife sets up appointments for us both and it's easier
for us to have one central group calendar. We've been using Lotus Orgainzer,
with the Organizer file added to a "calendar" workspace using the files tool.
It's a pain to do it that way. We've also tried using the "publish all
events to outlook" option in groove, but that doesn't really work well. It
publishes the first event you put in, and after that you have
enable/disable/enable that function each time you post a new appt.
I've been trying to find a program that will help sync up
our Outlook calendar and contacts as new entries are submitted. Right now,
we are using the email function for this. I'd love to use Exchange or
Sharepoint, but the monthly cost is more than I'd like to pay considering the
size of our
company, and Microsoft's programs are geared (IMHO) more towards small
companies that have 15 to 50 people. I'm still looking for something that
will work, but last night had a small brain storm...why not use Groove file
sharing to synch the outlook folders. Tried it but it won't let me share the
..pst files.
Any ideas on how to work around that and use groove for sharing the outlook
files? Or, if I have to buy a 3rd party program to synch them up, what are
some decent programs that aren't too pricey?
Thanks!
