Outlook taking up all cpu ***

I

ITDUDE27

Hello world,

I recently started to experience an issue at work relating to Outlook and
ACT2007, after pulling in the act address book into outlook everything is
crazy.
It all worked well, after we returned from the holiday this one users
workstations CPU spike everytime I open Outlook or ACT and it never opens.
I have uninstall/reinstall office and Uninstall/reinstall ACT, they both
still hangs on boot, I have a feeling I can get Outlook to work but i'm not
to sure with ACT.
Can anyone let me know if they have seen this issue before, or any reason
why Sageact.exe would spike cpu to 99% on launch?
I have been at this for two days I am at a format and reload point.

Thanks in advance!

Does Microsoft Outlook start in safe mode?

How to:
* Start > Run > outlook.exe /safe > OK button

Also, don't forget to post what version of Microsoft Outlook you are using.
Outlook 2000 did have a CPU spike problem. Cause was something like Outlook
had to be configured in Internet Mail Only mode and the use of reminders on
items. This was solved with a patch from MS.
