Hello,
I have a user running OL2003 in non-cached mode but with offline folder on a
laptop. He also uses a Blackberry device (Enterprise). Finally, his task and
calendar are shared with two assistants who have editor rights. All of the
users have OL2003, non-cached, on Windows XP SP2 with all of the correct
service packs for both Office, Windows and Exchange. (We have an Exchange
2003 active/passive cluster if that matters.)
Recently this user and his assistants have noticed that in some of his
Outlook tasks the content was gone. The task itself was still there but there
were no text in it anymore. This does not happen to all his tasks (and he has
hundreds), just a few. I questioned the assistants and they indicated that in
each case, there was only one person knowingly accessing the appointments at
any one time. I had at first thought that maybe two people had the same task
open and the second person might be overwriting the first. And if it was a
synchronization issue, it seems that all the tasks would be affected, not
just a few. Unfortunately these always seem to be the important tasks.
I am not sure how to continue troubleshooting this. If anyone can help me
shed light on what might be happening or what direction to look, I would be
very appreciative.
Thanks, Dulce
