When a new message comes into Outlook an envelope appears on the task bar
(Outlook 2002 sp1). It would be nice to see a numeric value on top of this
envelope to easily see how many new messages just came in.
Also the tool-tip on the envelope should say more than "You have new
unopened items", it should tell you where these new items where placed in the
inbox. This would be helpful if you have multiple folders organizing the
inbox.
This can be extended to change the color of the envelope in the taskbar if
you have a specific rule to watch for the bosses emails or something else
important.
