Outlook templates and/or stationery

When I receive a newsletter from Microsoft or TechNet, the message includes a
background, graphics, and a personal greeting with my name. The CEO of the
company I work for would like to have a personalized template and/or
stationery that she can send out just like that. Can you give me direction on
how to design a template or stationery that is just like Microsoft's or
TechNet's. Thank you. Claudia

Thank you Diane for your reply. I did create a mail merge newsletter in Word
2003, merged with a distribution list in Outlook 2003, and sent as an email
message from Word. However, when the recipient received the newsletter, the
background color and graphics did not show. Am I missing something?

Thank you for your reply, Diane. I did create a mail merge newsletter in Word
2003, merged it with a distribution list in Outlook 2003, sent out using File

Send to > Mail Recipient. When the recipient received the newsletter, the

personalized name was there, but none of the graphics or background color.
What am I missing?

That's not a mail merge. You can't merge to a distribution list.
