outlook through a router...can't send

Mark

I have set up a dlink di604 router on a DSL PPPP0E modem.
Access to the internet and receiving email via outlook
both work fine. I cannot, however, receive email. Other
email programs (eg. Eudora, netscape) work fine for send
and receive.

Outlook works fine once the router is removed from the
system.

In outlook sent messages stay in the outbox until the
0x800ccc0f error message is generated. I don't have NAV (I
know how it can screw up the send function).

Any ideas?

I have always had issues running Outlook over DSL. It is
most likely the MTU setting. Default is 1500, but DSL
likes to run at 1492. Check dslreports.com for a tool to
change your MTU settings. I belive it is called DR.TCP.

Good luck.

I had checked and MTU was enabled and set at 1492 so that
wasn't the problem. I have solved it though! I updated the
firmware from the Dlink site and it works great. Thanks
for taking the time to reply.
