Outlook through AOL

I have tried using MSN as my ISP but because of
travelling I need access to a local service provider
worldwide and have to use AOL.
This has continued fine but now I am using HP IPAQ
palmtop and need to return to using Outlook to use my
contacts from the palmtop.
How do I use Outlook through AOL?

The AOL mail system does not support internet type accounts (POP/IMAP). The
AOL mail system is proprietary and you need to use their mail client.

I too use AOL for my email and need to sync my ipaq handheld (jus
acquired an ipaq 3650)with Outlook. I'm not sure just what to d
concerning "The AOL mail system is proprietary and you need to us
their mail client." in order to set things up between my handheld
Outlook and AOL email. Can you provide a source of directions?
