Outlook thru proxy to ISP?

I am trying to retrieve email through a LAN proxy server
(large company) using Outlook. I cannot connect to the POP
or SMTP servers. Dialup works fine.

Internet Explorer goes through the proxy fine, prompting
for id and password.

How do I solve this problem?

Your proxy is blocking Ports 110 (incoming mail) and 25 (outgoing mail).
Contact your LAN Admin and ask them to open the ports.
Internet Explorer uses port 80.
