Outlook to OneNote Powertoy installation/operation grief

I have installed the subject Powertoy on two erstwhile identical
systems, but they don't operate or look the same on both. This
prompts some questions:

1. On one system, the OneNote icon appears on the Outlook Mail screen
standard toolbar, on the other system it does not. On the one that
does, if I attempt to send the Mail screen to OneNote, it allows me to
select a OneNote section, but nothing ever shows up on any page in
that section. It's not particularly a show-stopper (I normally
wouldn't want to send the overall mail page to OneNote), but a) why
doesn't the icon appear on the other system, and b) on the one that
does, why doesn't anything ever show up in ONeNote?

2. On one of the systems, the Standard Toolbar has a choice of a
blank icon, but with text that says "OneNote". This choice is not
shown on the other system's Standard Toolbar. Why?

3. When reading mail, on the system that shows both a OneNote icon as
well as a text-only button, clicking the icon (its label is "Send
selected item to OneNote") doesn't do anything. Clicking on the
text-only button then allows me to select a OneNote section, but again
- nothing appears to happen. How can I get the sending to OneNote to
work on this system?

4. I have seen a lot of correspondence dealing with .NET
Programmabiity installation, but I am confused about one step in the
process. Once I have displayed the list of features/sub-features, I
get a drop down that shows 4 choices (Run form this computer, Runa ll
from this computer, Install on first use, Not available). I see no
way to select any of these, or indication (after I've thrashed around,
using Space bars, Enters, double-clicks, etc.) that anything I've done
has registered. Should there be any indication n the list of options
that one of those has been selected?

Thanks for the help - I really need to get both of these systems
operating similarly and successfully!

"Even a blind pig can find an acorn."

I guess I've thrashed my way to a partial solution of this: After
reinstalling all of Office and SP1 and paying PARTICULAR attention to getting
the .NET sub-features installed prior to the PowerToy reinstall, the Outlook
to OneNote now works. Why and how, I have no idea.
