Whenever I start outlook (2003 basic edition), a message with the title
"Internet Explorer Script Error" pops up that says "An error has occured in
the script on this page.
Line: 298
Char: 1
Error: Class not registered
URL: outlook:today
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
Yes No
"
I have tried what it says on this page:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/329930
and it didn't do anything what so ever. Then I tried getting the .DLL in
question from a friend who also has office 2003, and replacing it, and it
didn't do anything either. I have also tried repairing the installation, and
even resorted to opening a copy of the .DLL in Notepad, and trying to find
the error myself. Nothing that anyone has said has worked at all. I don't
want to use the bypass strategy, because I like the Outlook Today page
showing on startup, as it shows the calendar, and other stuff. How do I fix
this?
Thanks,
Alan
