Outlook trying to backup to wrong drive

I've used the PST backup tool for a long time, backing up to an external hard
drive (J: on my system). I recently replaced that drive with a new, larger
one, which my system recognizes as E:. I changed the Backup settings to
reflect this. But upon starting the backup, the progress box tells me it's
sending it to E:, then after a few seconds, I get an error message that J: is
unavailable or has been moved, please contact system admin. for assistance.
In the progress box, it also shows that it has switched from sending the file
to E: to sending to J: -- which of course doesn't exist. The backup fails.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Backup tool, but that didn't
work. I also tried plugging the new drive into the same port the old one was
in, but my system still recognizes it as E:.

Any ideas how to correct this? The backup drive works fine for all other
applications, so it's not a problem with the drive itself, I don't think.

Thanks!

Click FIle>Data File Management. Does anything show there referencing J?

Hi Brian -
No, both the PST and archive file map to the C: drive. Nothing about J there
at all.
