Hello All
I have been looking at the Custom installation Wizard and the Custom
Maintenance Wizard and all the other tools that MS provide in the
resource kit to do with deploying office, and to say I am confused at
what each is supposed to be used for is an under statement!!!! so I
hope some of you clued up client people can help me out:
Here is what I want:
I have some users that are running old versions of Outlook on their
machines and I want to upgrade these users with a fresh version of
OL2003. At the same time I also want to deploy a new profile for the
new Exchange 2003 cluster.
My thoughts so far are to create a MST file that will contain the
outlook profile customisations and also contain the information to only
install Outlook.
I was thinking that I could run the office MSI file and parse the MST
file at login time and this would acheive everything I want, is this
correct?
Also which of the tools should I use to do all this?
Thanks
Richard
