Outlook View Controls in .Net

I have a custom form with three OVC's - the OVC's are refreshed based on
some checkboxes on the same form. The issues are :

1/. when the form loads the OVC's display correctly but as soon as they are
refreshed, the data displayed is some mix of the filters/views from all of
the OVC's.

2/. the folder property does not seem to be set correctly or is unreadable

I also run the OVC on a Windows form in the same application and in this
case a new set of references appeared to AxInterop.OLXLib - I added the OVC
via the toolbox, so I have no idea why this might occur.

None of these effects were noted before moving to .net. Any help gratefully
received,
